This page is dedicated to our beloved Team, the ones that do the hard work of spending their time compiling the builds that all of you appreciate.
And without further delays…
- Rui Campos
- Maintainer of: Linux
- Compiled with: scons + gcc 4.1.2
- Environment: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy)
- Bio:
- Yes, its me, I’m the guy maintaining the linux builds.
- I’m from Portugal and live near Lisbon.
- I’m a fulltime Consultant / JAVA developer and do CG stuff as a hobby.
- My main tool for CG is Blender and I’m always up to date with the latest Development source from CVS. This was one of the reasons I decided to start doing CVS reports at BlenderNation and to setup this website. A way to provide testing builds for other people, as well as Optimized and Debug builds.
- Eugene Reilly
- Maintainer of: Windows
- Compiled with: MSVC 8
- Environment: Windows XP
- Bio:
- My name is Eugene Reilly from Gaithersburg Maryland USA.
- By day I’m a clinical chemist, but by night and on weekends all I think about is Blender.
- I started using Blender only about a year ago after using those “other” packages for a few years. I started compiling Blender so I could control Blender’s optimizations better, trying to squeeze every drop of processor power into Blender. Now I compile to get the latest and greatest features as soon as possible.
- Jonathan Ferguson
- Maintainer of: Mac OS X (PowerPC)
- Timothy Kanters
- Maintainer of: Mac OS X (Intel)
Some more information will be added in the future, so keep an eye out on this page.

Hi!
I have noticed that Blender’s rendering does not seem to take
full advantage from the new Intel Quadcore processors. Am I right? Yafray seems to share this problem.

To Tommi:
It shouldn’t be the case, please file a bug report in the bug tracker.

Hi
I am just starting attempts to build blender for
OSXi386. I found out, all info around the net is somewhat outdated or not really clear. You are
succesful in compiling , is it possible to publish
the way compiling works for OSX ? The last days i tried everything and got really frustrated. So for
the benefit of the community please would you share you buildpath ? I would appreciate it very
much.

Hi Jens,
Sorry for not replying sooner, but been really busy.
I’m trying to refactor the way BBuilds work so that we can have builds coming out again soon and without delays.
