And the winner is …

Yes, we have a winner.
For those impatient to know who won, here it goes…
And the winner is ….. Dave Woods with the phrase:
“3DConnexion teams up with BlenderBuilds to bring you the perfect 3D Navigation solution.”
We decided that David had the best phrase with both words.
The SpaceNavigator was already sent to him and he should be getting it soon.
Once David gets his SpaceNavigator we will post another article with his impressions on the device.
As a side note, I’m sorry to delay the post so much, but life is this way and I’m filled with work …

Forgive me, but that reads like a press release, not like a catch phrase. I suspect most of us assumed you wanted a phrase for a permanent spot on the blenderbuilds splash page. Where do you intend to put it?

Hi Tom,
It was just a contest, no intention to re-use the phrase afterwards.

Amen.
Now, regrading Blender 2.45–?
Do we have a date?

Hi Tom:
Blender 2.45 RC2 should be online already …

Hell, I thought it had to rhyme.

Works like a charm!
Except, if I double-click on a “.blend” file, Mac OS X complains. I have to “feed” the file to Blender. Previous versions of Blender are in the trash, but I haven’t dared to flush yet. Could that be the problem?

Hi Tom:
I think not, but I don’t have a Mac yet, so I can’t really tell.

It’s cool.
I took the plunge into Blender after that DAZ3d was taking so long to fix bugs in Hexagon. I like the convenience of ready “content” poseable with their free and friendly DAZ Studio. But modeling is severely limited. These days there’s a lot of griping in the DAZ3d forums because of serious shortcomings with Carrara 6, released August 29th.
So, I just keep learning more Blender: the more I learn, the better I like it!
Go, Blender Team!

So… is the SN working in a blender build on Intel Mac? If so, where can I get it, and where can I get whatever plugin I need to use the SN with it? I’d prefer to use blender 2.45, but right now I’ll take what I can get.
